Engine 343 is a 1951 Mack Fire Truck and is engraved with the names of the 343 Firefighters who gave their lives at the World Trade Center on September 11 2001. Engine 343 will be making the run to Fort Benning.
                                                             

                                  
Lt "Paddy" Concannon FDNY (ret) at the wheel of Fire Engine 343, is the IRON and STEEL Project Leader, WTC Steel custodian, and President/Founder of the FDNY-Fire Family Transport Foundation.
Riding "shotgun" for Paddy is FDNY Monsignor John Delendick.



Greg "Spock" Alspach USN (vet) is the IRON and STEEL Run Director, and Lead Run Coordinator for the Gray Team. Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.



Msgt Mike "Bearman" Angelastro USAF (ret) is the IRON and STEEL Lead Run Coordinator for the Blue Team. New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West (by God) Virginia.

FF Steve Sansevere, with his other half Lisa, is a Run Coordinator and Law Enforcement Liaison for the Blue Team. Steve is a member of the Knights of Fire MC in New Jersey.



FF Rich Snyder FDNY (ret) at the site of the WTC Steel in Shanksville, PA is a Run Coordinator for the Blue Team,  Firefighters' MC Liaison and is Treasurer of the New York City Fire Riders MC.



FF Don Maher FDNY (ret) is a Run Coordinator for the Blue Team and President of the New York City Fire Riders.

Officer "Dusty" Hassell is a motorman for the Suwanee PD,  Suwanee, GA and a USAF Vietnam Vet. He is an IRON and STEEL, Gray Team Law Enforcement Liaison.



Mr Chad Burns, former Director of the GMSP in Georgia, and a USAF Vietnam Vet, is the IRON and STEEL Run Safety Officer, for the Gray Team. Mr Burns will concentrate his efforts on the Interstate-85 corridor between Charlotte, NC and Columbus, GA.
